Every year, global health leaders gather to reduce crises, advance resilience, reimagine what's possible, and reshape direction for a rapidly changing world. Yet, turning high-level ambition into real-world progress requires an equally dedicated space for execution.
Located directly adjacent to the World Health Summit in Berlin, the Collective Impact House was created to complement macro-level discussions by bringing the right people together around the practical work of implementation. We believe truly resilient, sustainable health systems are built from the patient outward, ensuring that lived experience is embedded as essential health infrastructure. That's why we convene civil society, patient communities, policymakers, innovators, and health funders for a series of interactive, 90-minute working sessions across thematic areas, all designed to foster shared trust and collaborative action.
Hosted by The Synergist as the neutral backbone of collective impact initiatives, the House provides the space to work while thinking is still taking shape. And by connecting session outputs directly into ongoing multi-stakeholder initiatives, like Patient Focused Medicines Development, Patient Movement Catalyst, and Sustainable Health Catalyst, we ensure that every conversation immediately folds into existing or new collaborative pathways that sustain the momentum coming out of the room.
Session 1 · 08:30 to 10:00 · Sustainable Health Catalyst
From Unrealised Impact to Sustainable Health: Unlocking the Value of Solutions We Already Have
Across many health areas, effective, proven solutions already exist, from diagnostics to care pathways, yet systemic friction often prevents them from reaching the people who need them. This gap leads to avoidable human harm and unnecessary costs for health systems.
Serving as an accelerator for the Sustainable Health Catalyst, this collaborative session brings stakeholders together to explore common, cross-cutting adoption barriers across disease areas. Rather than focusing on isolated fixes, participants will co-design shared expectations and identify opportunities for collective action that unlock the full human and economic value of existing and future innovation.
Session 2 · 11:00 to 12:30 · Patient Focused Medicines Development
Why Patients Must Shape the AI Future
Artificial intelligence holds vast potential to improve healthcare access and efficiency, but its real-world success depends on global trust, safety, and human-centered design.
Moving beyond abstract debates, this working session positions patient leaders as essential co-architects in digital health and AI governance. Participants will explore regional alignment challenges and define shared principles to ensure AI tools are co-designed with patients, culturally trusted, and built to advance health equity.
Session 3 · 14:00 to 15:30 · Patient Movement Catalyst
Investing in Sustainable Health: Patient Leadership as Essential Infrastructure
Lived experience provides essential insights that make healthcare pathways more effective, reduce system risk, and help drive health systems resilience. Yet patient leadership is rarely enabled as permanent infrastructure, and it remains largely absent from the investment case for health.
This session explores how treating patient leadership as a strategic investment strengthens health system resilience. Through structured co-creation exercises, patient leaders, funders, and policymakers will map the tangible value that lived experience already brings, and then articulate what each stakeholder needs to fully leverage that value towards resilience. Participants leave with concrete, individual commitments to leverage lived experience as an essential driver of health resilience investment.
Session 4 · 16:00 to 17:30 · Patient Movement Catalyst
From Presence to Partnership: Embedding Patient and Civil Society Leadership at Policy Fora
While patient and civil society presence at major health fora has grown, shifting from passive advisory roles or on-stage voices to active partnership in policy design and delivery is a shared goal worth pursuing even more in today's changing global health ecosystem.
Designed as an open, constructive workspace, this session explores practical mechanisms to strengthen sustained patient and civil society partnership in health policy design. Participants will help shape a collaborative offer of partnership to major policy platforms, supported by initiatives like Patient Movement Catalyst to help prepare, connect, and deliver lived-experience-informed outcomes.
